When you visit or use our Service, we collect and store information about you, your computer or mobile device and your activities. This information may include, but is not limited to:
Your computer’s IP address; technical information about your computer or mobile device (such as type of device, web browser or operating system). We also may collect information about your online activity, such as content viewed and pages visited.
Your mobile device’s unique ID number (when available); your mobile device’s geographic location (specific geographic location if you’ve enabled collection of that information, or general geographic location automatically).
Your account information: full name, email address, zip code, phone number, postal address and other information you may provide with your account, such as your gender and birth date directly provided by you or provided through third party sign-in services such as Facebook Connect and Google Plus. We fetch and store whatever information is made available to us by you through these sign-in services. Your profile picture that will be publicly displayed as part of your account profile.
Contact information of others: You may have the opportunity to provide us contact information for other people through our Web site or social networking sites. You should obtain the consent of other individuals prior to providing SchoolWiser with their personal information.
Personal and non-personal information: We also may periodically obtain both personal and non-personal information about you from you, social sites, affiliated entities, business partners and other independent third-party sources and add it to other information about you. For example, if you visit SchoolWiser by “clicking-through” from a site operated by one of our business partners, and you have registered with that partner, then information about you that you have provided to that partner may be shared with us, such as information and demographic information. As another example, if you access third party services, such as social media services, through our Web site or before coming to our Web site, we may collect information such as your user name, password, and other information made available to us through those services in order to improve and personalize your use of our Web site.
Your preferences and settings: We may also store your preferences and settings (time zone, language, etc.), on servers used by us and locally on your device (mobile/computer) to provide you a consistent experience over repeat visits to the Service.
Your content: The information that you post to the Service, including your reviews, photos, comments, likes, lists, followers, the users you follow, and your account profile.

If you write reviews about schools we may publicly display the fact that you interacted with those businesses.
Please note that some of this information is automatically collected without you voluntarily choosing to provide this information to us.
We use the information to improve the Service’s functionality, quality and also personalize your experience. We also use this information to display relevant advertising, generate leads for us and our business partners, affiliates and other third parties, provide support, message you, and comply with legal obligations. We also may share aggregate information with third parties, including advertisers and investors.
Please be aware that:
Calls to and from SchoolWiser may be recorded. We may use the call recordings to monitor our customer service for quality or compliance purposes, to check the accuracy of the information you provide us, for fraud prevention purposes, or to provide training to our staff. We will retain the call recordings for as long as reasonably necessary to perform such activities and then delete them. Any personal information obtained from you during the call will be treated in accordance with the provisions of this Privacy Policy.
If you choose to create a profile on SchoolWiser, certain information in your profile will be publicly viewable and identifiable by clicking your screen name. Additionally, if you choose to participate in our member-to-member communications programs (e.g. member networks and private messaging), other SchoolWiser members may contact you by using SchoolWiser as an intermediary; though your email address may be visible to other members that you choose to interact with.
By using the Service, you are agree to receiving marketing messages (calls, email, mobile messages and direct mail) from SchoolWiser, its business partners and affiliates. Please note that you will have the opportunity to choose not to receive these email messages in such email we send and the marketing calls we may make.
Cookies: When you visit our Service, we, our business partners or our affiliates may place “cookies” (small data text files) on your computer to recognize you. We do this to store your preferences, collect statistical data and track your use of our Service. Ad companies (including but not limited to Google and Facebook) may also place cookies on your computer to track your activities across various sites so that they can display targeted ads.
Cookies are widely used, and most web browsers are configured initially to accept cookies automatically. If you prefer not to accept cookies, you may adjust and configure your browser settings accordingly. The Service may also provide links to third party websites. Many of the advertisements you see on the SchoolWiser.com are served by SchoolWiser.com or its service providers. These third parties include (1) business partners, who collect information when you view or interact with one of their advertisements on our sites, and (2) advertising networks, which collect information about your interests when you view or interact with one of the advertisements they place on many different Web sites on the Internet. The information gathered by these third parties may be used but not limited to make predictions about your characteristics, interests or preferences and to display advertisements on our sites and across the Internet tailored to your interests. Please note that we do not have access to or control over cookies or other technologies these third parties may use to collect information about your interests, and the information practices of these third parties are not covered by this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to carefully read the privacy policies on those third party websites before accessing and providing any of your information on such sites.
Individuals have a right to have personal data erased in specific circumstances:
Information may be deleted from our CRM upon user request to updates@schoolwiser.com. We shall perform the deletion within one month (30 calendar days). Data may still remain in the systems back-up files, which will be deleted periodically.
We may use or disclose user information: in response to a legal request, such as a subpoena, court order, or government demand; to comply with the law; in connection with a threat of litigation; to investigate, prevent or report illegal or suspected illegal activities; to protect our legal rights, our customers, our Service or users of our Service; or to enforce our rights or defend claims. We may also transfer your information to another company in connection with a corporate restructuring, such as a sale, merger or in the unlikely event of bankruptcy.
SchoolWiser may need to contact you to comply or cooperate with a legal request. For this purpose, we will use the email address provided to us by you. All communications sent by SchoolWiser at such email address shall be deemed to have been communicated to you.
Our Service is not intended for use by children under the age of thirteen (13). We do not knowingly allow children under the age of thirteen (13) to register for any service, and we do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen (13). If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us at updates@schoolwiser.com. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without parental consent, we take steps to remove such information and terminate the child’s account.
If your information is submitted to us through our Service when applying for a position with our company, the information will be used to consider your application. We may retain your information for any period of time. This information may be shared with other companies for the purpose of evaluating your qualifications for the particular position or other available positions, as well as with third-party service providers retained by us to collect, maintain and analyze candidate submissions for job postings.
We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or via mobile device, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
You can close your account by emailing us at updates@schoolwiser.com. We may remove your public posts from view and/or dissociate them from your account profile, but we may retain information about you for the purposes authorized under this Privacy Policy unless prohibited by law. For example, we may retain information to prevent, investigate, or identify possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service or to comply with legal obligations.

Each location may provide for different data protection rules than the country in which you reside.
