    Being associated with Modern High School as a parent for six years is quiet a rewarding experience for me and my daughter. In one word, the entire focus is on development and confidence.

    It's a great school. This school is really great for the working parents since they do noy burdened the student with loads of homework. Instead they teach them in the classroom. They always finish all the projects in the classroom which involves the student in doing their projects instaed of getting done by the parents.

    I am an ex student of Modern High School, from 20 years back and I'm happy to say that it always was and continues to be one of the most preferred schools for girls, in Kolkata. MHS as it is called in short, offers a healthy balance of academic and extra curricular activities. The focus is on developing well rounded, confident individuals. The quality of teachers at MHS has always been of the highest standards. Discipline was always a no compromise area. The school has an impressively large campus. MHS earlier followed the West Bengal State Board and has now moved to the ICSE curriculum. MHS was and still remains one of the more expensive schools in Kolkata. What I know from parents whose children are in the school now, is that there has been a lot of change over the years with respect to infrastructure and facilities offered, course curriculum, etc. While it continues to maintain the academic standards, the overall discipline of the students is probably an area that has taken a slight beating. That said, MHS is definitely one of the most coveted girls' schools in Kolkata.
